The Sistine Chapel is always full of visitors, but it is closed on Conclave’s days – after the death of the pope, the cardinals are collecting the new one. The Church was built to receive the venerated remains of early Christian saints who were buried in the Catacombs. The foundation stone of Riga Dome Cathedral was laid on July 25, 1211. Neither events nor historical circumstances diminished its significance. Original frescoes were protected in the church dome and in a part of the altar. Thousands of artists, sculptors and specialized workers were involved in the construction of the Cathedral of Milan. Indeed, there are no historical sources about the mass killing of Christians, although the amphitheater didn’t really miss the execution of the followers of Christ. The host Astrid was very kindly and helpful. The Trevi Fountain is located at the bottom of the palace, where statues and bas-reliefs are raised from the rocks. In the Middle Ages it was known as the Campo Vaccino (‘Cow Field’) and extensively plundered for its stone and marble.
